NORWAY - A CENTRE OF MARITIME EXCELLENCE

Since 1995, Norwegian Maritime Exporters (NME) has served as a vital link between Norwegian maritime companies and the global markets.

About us

Norwegian Maritime Exporters – making waves worldwide

Since 1995, Norwegian Maritime Exporters (NME) has served as a vital link between Norwegian maritime companies and the global markets. We are owned by our members and work globally to promote our members and the Norwegian maritime industry.

Together we are stronger

We organize the Norwegian pavilions at major global and domestic industry exhibitions where our members can market their products and services to international decision-makers under the Norwegian flag of excellence.

In addition, we arrange ERFAringskonferansen (the experience sharing conference) annually as well as co-ordinate with associated industry bodies in the interest of our members. We also offer member benefits within different areas.

The NME team wishes you all a Happy Easter, this year at home! We all deserve a few days off to enjoy family and good food during these difficult times. When Easter is over, we will be back to support and assist you. However, in order for us to do this, we need to hear from you! We kindly ask you to complete our survey on the COVID-19 pandemic´s effect on your company and your needs going forward. The survey consists of only eight questions and will not take much of your time. The survey can be found here:

God påske til dere alle 🐣

On Wednesday 4 February we visited two of NME’s members that are located close to Drammen, PG Flow Solutions A/S and Eltek.

At PG Flow Solutions we were received by Steve Paulsen, Are Hjertvik and Trine Hjelmengen. They gave us a tour of their hi-tech facilities where they design, engineer, manufacture and commission a range of flow handling solutions, systems and products, including pumps and pumping technologies across a number of industry sectors. After the tour Steve held a presentation about their products and the company’s transition from offshore to aquaculture.

Further on, we visited Eltek at their office facilities. Here we were welcomed by Ulf Ellingsen and Martin Aasgaard who gave a presentation about Eltek. Eltek is a power conversion specialist delivering power systems and services for industrial purposes. Amongst other, they deliver systems to several railway development projects. Being a member of NME, they of course deliver products to the maritime sector as well and have a great number of cruise lines on their customer list.

Thanks to both companies for taking the time and for having us. It is always valuable to meet members in their “home turf”, not only at trade shows and conferences. This gives us a deeper understanding of their business and also input to how we as member organization can further support our members.
